Why I Chose My Current Job – A Personal Reason
Three years ago, I started working in my current field with no prior experience.
I chose this job for a few personal reasons:
It includes light physical activity as part of the work Each visit lasts no longer than about 60 minutes, with 5 to 7 visits per day I can go directly to and from work (no office check-in required) It’s one-on-one, face-to-face interaction To be honest, I prioritized what would be the most efficient and comfortable for me to do, rather than how much money I could make.
Of course, money is important—but for me, it ranks lower on the list. As long as I can make enough to live on, that’s enough. What mattered more was finding a job that I could do no matter where I moved, that felt manageable for me, and didn’t feel like a burden.
As an added point, this job also serves as a kind of social rehabilitation for me, since I usually tend to avoid interacting with people. It doesn’t require group dynamics or constant socializing, but it still gives me regular opportunities for face-to-face human connection. That balance has turned out to be a good fit for me.
As a result, I’m satisfied with the choice I made—and unusually for me, I’ve been able to stick with it.
